Hannah has worked with clients ranging from start-ups to SMEs, as well as international corporations across diverse commercial sectors including finance, entertainment, fashion, retail and food and drink.
Hannah has experience with dealing with a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters, including trade mark application filing strategies, IP portfolio management, clearance searches, prosecution, oppositions and trade mark infringement issues.
Hannah has a Law degree from Cardiff University. Hannah began working in the IP profession in 2017 and has worked at several boutique trade mark firms. Hannah fully qualified as a UK Chartered Trade Mark Attorney in 2022 and joined Withers and Rogers in early 2023.
Stephanie has built up her experience whilst working in private practice, in a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters, including trade mark application filing strategy, IP portfolio management, clearance searches, prosecution, oppositions and trade mark infringement issues. She works with clients from across a range of commercial sectors including fashion, retail and healthcare.
Stephanie holds a Batchelors degree in Theology from the University of London as well as an LL.B. After entering the IP profession in 2017 Stephanie went on to qualify as a trade mark attorney in 2021, joining Withers & Rogers the same year.
Mariana is a qualified Portuguese and Brazilian attorney at law. She has gathered experience in all aspects of managing trade mark portfolios including research, filing and prosecution. Mariana has also worked within general litigation departments, drafting and negotiating contracts and providing strategic consulting.
Mariana works with a wide range of clients helping them to manage the portfolios of large corporations.
Mariana studied at the University of Fortaleza in Brazil. During her time at university, she worked as a student researcher at the Group of Studies in Cultural Rights and completed internships at both at the Court of Justice of the State of Ceará, and three law firms. Mariana also completed an MBA in Management and Business Law at FGV.
Laurie is an experienced trade mark attorney and has worked with clients ranging from start-ups and SMEs through to multinationals, across diverse commercial sectors including financial services, charitable services, retail and food and drink.
As well as dealing with all aspects of trade mark clearance, protection and prosecution, Laurie has experience in litigation, having handled cases in the IPEC, High Court and CJEU, and holds the Higher Courts Certificate in IP Litigation. She has also achieved notable results in helping clients to tackle trade mark infringement issues through working with customs bodies, Trading Standards and ISPs.
Laurie is also proficient in French.
Laurie graduated with a joint honours degree in Law and French from the University of Strathclyde in 2009, before going on to obtain a postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2010.
Laurie entered the IP profession in 2010 and qualified as a trade mark attorney in 2013. She joined Withers & Rogers in 2020 after working with other leading UK IP firms.
With more than 20 years of experience as an attorney at law practicing intellectual property in various international IP law firms, Ute has supported her clients in numerous infringement cases, based on intellectual property in Germany and the EU, from the first warning letter to a settlement agreement or a court judgement, no matter if patents, trade marks, or designs.
Ute is experienced in drafting contracts in the field of licensing, transfer of IP rights, employee inventions, as well as research and development. She has also supported clients with the enforcement of their rights by initiating and handling custom seizure proceedings.
Ute is member of the International Trademark Association (INTA). Ute is regularly lecturing in “Patent Law / Protection of Intellectual Property” on the master’s course in paper technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. Her last publication was an article about “Compulsory Patent Licensing in the Time of COVID-19″.
Ute studied Law at the Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich including special qualifications in Intellectual Property. She also worked as a student research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property and Competition Law. Ute trained at numerous Munich law firms as well as US law firm Pearne & Gordon. In March 2023, she was registered as a representative before the new Unified Patent Court, one of the first European patent attorneys to be entered on the list of UPC representatives.
Henriette’s experience includes application, opposition and appeal proceedings of trade marks and designs, drafting warning letters, obtaining preliminary injunctions, handling of legal proceedings in trade mark and design, unfair competition and copyright matters. She also has experience of drafting and negotiating of license, coexistence and transfer agreements as well as of other contracts relating to intellectual property.
Henriette is also an expert in strategic consulting and handling of trade mark portfolios.
Henriette qualified in Legal Studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich (LMU).
Since 2008 Henriette has worked as an Attorney at Law for intellectual property in several national and international law and patent firms in Munich. Henriette qualified as a certified specialist lawyer in IP law in 2011.
Henriette is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR).
Henriette regularly lectures in “Patent Law / Protection of Intellectual Property” on the master’s course in paper technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. Furthermore, Henriette is member of the author’s circle of the Intellectual Property Trade Journal GRURprax and regularly publishes comments on recent Court decisions.
In March 2023, she was registered as a representative before the new Unified Patent Court, one of the first European patent attorneys to be entered on the list of UPC representatives.
Mark is experienced in global trade mark filing programmes, clearance searches and contentious matters. He routinely advises on and manages trade mark opposition and cancellation proceedings.
Mark assists clients in many sectors, including consumer electronics, food and drink, pharmaceuticals and financial services.
As well as working with multinational companies, he has particular expertise in advising start-ups and SMEs how best to protect their intellectual property.
Mark is a member of CITMA (the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys) and sits on its Online Events and Lectures Working Group.
Mark was listed as a “Recommended Lawyer” in the 2023 edition of The Legal 500.
Mark graduated with an honours degree in Law from the University of Strathclyde in 2010. He then went on to obtain a Diploma in Legal Practice in 2011.
He joined Withers & Rogers in 2011 and qualified as a trade mark attorney in 2014.
Fiona has over 20 years’ experience in trade marks, with particular emphasis and success in contentious matters before the UKIPO.
Fiona works with clients in many different business areas, ranging from food and drink, entertainment and leisure to high-end jewellery and fashion houses. Her work is both UK and international.
Having trained and worked in-house, Fiona is able to better understand the commercial requirements of clients and tailors her advice to ensure that the commercial needs of the business are met. She offers practical advice and has gained wide experience of all aspects of intellectual property. She works closely with clients on IP strategy.
Fiona’s previous experience includes working as in-house attorney for ICI, an international chemical company and Smith & Nephew plc, a global medical healthcare company. She has a particular expertise in both of these industries.
